Parents, start HERE when reviewing your child's IEP!
Karen shares two important things every parent should look for in their child's IEP:
Assessments: Have all areas of suspected disability-related need been evaluated?
Present Levels (PLAAFP): Are all identified needs accurately reflected in the document?
Your child's present levels are the FOUNDATION of the IEP. They help determine which goals, services, and supports are necessary.
If a need is missing from the foundation, it could be overlooked in the plan!
Don't be afraid to ask questions and share what you see at home. Your input matters!
