If your child has a 1:1 aide during the school year, will they have one during ESY?
Not necessarily! Extended School Year (ESY) services are determined by each student's individual needs.
While staffing arrangements may look different during ESY, the school must still provide the supports necessary to implement the student's ESY services.
Parents, don't assume your child's regular school-year supports will automatically carry over. Ask what assistance will be provided and how their needs will be met!
