What if your child can't attend EVERY day of ESY?
Summer plans, family vacations, and custody schedules can sometimes overlap with Extended School Year (ESY) services.
Karen reminds parents that life doesn't stop during summer break!
If your child will miss part of their ESY program, communicate with the school about the dates they can attend and discuss how any missed services may affect their individual needs.
The key is planning ahead and keeping communication open!
Because ESY is about supporting your child's educational needs, not creating unnecessary stress for families.
