My Child Has a 504… But Is It Enough?


A 504 can provide helpful accommodations.

But if a student needs more than accommodations—if they need instruction designed around how they learn—it may be time to ask whether additional supports should be discussed.

The question isn’t:

❌ “How high functioning are they?”

The question is:

✅ “What support does this student actually need to succeed?”

Every child deserves access to support that matches their needs—not assumptions.
